Dr. Michael Zviely

Dr. Michael Zviely is an internationally recognized scientific and industrial leader with decades of experience spanning chemistry, flavors and fragrances, aroma chemicals, and advanced bio-based materials. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and completed post-doctoral research before leading research activities at the ICL Corporate R&D Institute for nearly ten years. He later served for 11 years as Global Vice President for Research, Development, and Science at Frutarom (now IFF), where he drove global innovation strategies and technology development. Dr. Zviely’s career includes senior executive roles in both Western and Asian markets, including three years as CTO for R&D at O’Laughlin Corp. in Shanghai, focusing on aroma chemicals, botanical extracts, cooling agents, and UV sunscreen ingredients. He subsequently held leadership positions at SDA Spices and served as VP of R&D at Virdia Inc. (now Stora Enso), working on lignocellulose-derived bio-materials. Alongside his industrial leadership, he was a visiting professor at JiangNan University in China for five years and later VP for Business Development for aroma chemicals at Jiangsu GS. Dr. Zviely is the author of more than 20 patents and over 60 scientific articles and book chapters, and is a result-driven speaker at global conferences. Today, he is Co-Founder of Mamay Technologies, leading the development of a universal digital language for flavors and fragrances, and serves as CTO at Glacier FoodTech (Resugar). He also advises Strauss-Water and BlueTree and provides strategic consulting to companies across Europe, the United States, and India.
