Prof. David Stepensky is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and consultant in pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and drug development. He serves as Head of the School of Pharmacy at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and is a senior lecturer and researcher in the Departments of Biochemistry and Clinical Pharmacology within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Prof. Stepensky holds a B.Pharm., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Following his academic training, he served in the Israel Defense Forces as Head of a team in a military analytical laboratory specializing in quality testing of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. He subsequently completed postdoctoral research at the Department of Immunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science and at the Department of Immunobiology at Yale University in the United States. Prof. Stepensky’s research focuses on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, PK–PD modeling, drug delivery systems, and targeted drug delivery. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles, teaches pharmacokinetics and pharmacology, and acts as a trusted scientific advisor to the Israeli Ministry of Health as well as to pharmaceutical companies and start-ups in Israel and internationally.
